Francesca

Happy Wednesday!!  It's that time of the week again...time for a wonderful adoptable from Red Collar Rescue to introduce themselves.  Meet Francesca!

Hello dere, I'm Francesca, you can call me Franny if ya want; and I am a sweetheart.

There's been so much that has happened in my short little life.  I was a stray, my skin was sick, I had the mango or mange or something.  I don't know all the words.  Anyway, I was homeless and sick and I got picked up to go to the pound and that was really scary.  Especially since I didn't look so cute; I really thought no one would want me, but someone did!

Red Collar Rescue and St. Francis' Angels wanted to help me I was so excited like this...

and they helped me get all better.  Look at me!  I am gorgeous!

And I am happy and I love everyone!  I am good with the cats and the kids and even other dogs.  I am win, win, win.  I know lots of my commands that make me a good girl.  I am living in a kennel right now but I still have a smile on my face.  The only thing in this whole wide world that would make me happier is a home of my very own.

Gosh, I hope you pick me!!

Awe, what a beautiful loving dog.  I cannot wait for her to get her happily ever after.  If you would like to meet this beauty you can contact Red Collar Rescue via email at info@redcollar.org.

Weekend (and more) Recap

Wow!  Life has been a little crazy here so I have been letting the dogs blog for me for almost 6 weeks.  That's a long time.  Here's what I have been up to...

The husband and I road tripped to Hattiesburg, MS.

As you might know, we have family that lives there.  This trip was special because this beautiful girl was taking her first communion.

That's our niece/God daughter Chelsie, isn't she a cutie?

Trixie helped her dad barbecue for Memorial Day weekend.

We had friends over to enjoy all the delicious food.

It was a great time.

The next weekend Dave and Rachel got married.

You might remember them from David and Aerin's wedding post, that's where I got this great picture of the happy couple.

My sister and nieces came to visit.  I love seeing them as often as possible, so I always love when they come visit.  We had lots of fun that included a trip to the Downtown Aquarium.

I hadn't been to the aquarium in a long time and I had never been on the train that takes you through the shark tank.

Definitely a very cool perspective.

I also didn't know there was a white tiger at the aquarium.  Seemed a little out of place to me, but what a gorgeous animal.

I was happy to see her, but at the same time I felt a little sad for her.  The more I work with animal rescue the more I think about animal rights and welfare.  I thought she looked a little sad and lonely hanging out with everyone looking at her.  I am sure she is well taken care of, I just can't get over the feeling that a wild animal in captivity isn't happy.

This fiber glass version of her seemed just fine.

Chelsie was the only one on board with acting scared.  I love her scared face.

Around the house there has been lots of snuggling,

a little photo-bombing,

and lots of playing.

Sammy and Bauer are completely in love.  We couldn't be happier with having Bauer home with us.  I can't imagine not having him here.  He's dear.

I have been busy at home as well.  I have some new chairs and this awesome print from Sammy and Bauer's session with Mary Pasicatan Photography

I have some little projects to share...

...and some big ones.

I am looking forward to sharing it all with you soon!

Cosmos

**PUPDATE!! Cosmos has found his forever home!**

Today I have a very special guest blogger.  This guy was rescued by a group of wonderful rescue volunteers from the Harris County Shelter.  This group of do-gooders are combining their own personal resources and donating it to his care.  What a lucky guy to be so loved...meet Cosmos!

Hai!  I'm Cosmos and hopefully like my name all the universes will get all lined up and I will get the loving forever home my heroes want for me.

I've had kinda a hard time so far.  I was at the Harris County Shelter and I was all skinny and I had some tummy problems.  Some nice people took me from the shelter to boarding at a cool vet's office where I got to get all healed up.

I already gained some of the weights and I was doing real good, but then I got the coughs.  I got some meds for the coughs, but I can't stay at boarding while I have them so I got to go home with a vet technician.

I think being at her house is pretty cool.  I've been thinking about this being at home thing a lot.  I have a bed instead of a concrete floor and I could get real used to it.

That's me...gettin' use ta the life at home.  The good life.  Maybe you have room at your house and can share some of the good with me?

I'm pretty cool.  Imma Shar Pei/lab mix and I am a young guy.  I learn real fast and I like treats a lot, so that makes it easy to teach me new stuff, since rewards help a lot.  I already learned my sit and I am learning lots more about living at home.

I'm real good with other dogs.  I like them a lot, so if you already are sharing your good with a lucky dog, then it would be okay cuz I am a good sharer too and we could all share together.

I'd sure love to meet you so we could talk about all this sharing.  I'd share lots of love with you for all of my life.  So, yes?  Come meet me?

Awe.  I think you should go meet Cosmos.  He's such a sweet boy.  If you are interested in learning more about Cosmos you can email wagsfund@gmail.com.
