Insta-Friday

I had a pretty good week back at work.  I am a little tired and happy it is Friday, but all in all it was a great week.  Let's take a look at my week through my phone!

I bought myself a little present to bring with me to the office on Monday.

Look, brightly colored pens.  A shocking work present for me, I know!

I had been noticing that my plants are growing like crazy this spring.  Especially my little planter veggie garden.

Look at the difference!!

I told the husband that I was going to have to drag him to Home Depot (kicking and screaming, I am sure) to get stakes for the taller plants this weekend.  And I noticed my first little tomato on Tuesday.

Yay.

Thursday was my birthday.  I had a fantastic day!  I had lunch with great friends at BB's Cafe.

The husband spoiled me rotten.

And I didn't feel old at all.

Ouch.

Weekly Finds

The husband bought me a print of this amazing painting last weekend.  It was painted by Elizabeth Cencini a fabulous Houston artist that is showing a lot of her work over at Style Cycle in the Houston Heights right now.  I fell in love with this painting and if my tax refund check had been larger maybe I would have bought the actual oil on canvas, but my print is fantastic as well.

The painting is called prelude to tango and I love it.  The girl in the painting drew me in originally with her great eye shadow and the passionate look on her face.  I love the blue and green in the painting...it reminds me of what the husband and I wore in our engagement pictures.

Weekend Recap

The good news is the surgery recovery time is over.  The mixed emotion news is that I head back to the office today.  I am excited about seeing everyone on campus, I work with some amazing people, but I am a little nervous about the activity level.  Luckily, I have an awesome boss who told me I can take it as easy as I need to this first week back.  Yes, I am blessed.

Sammy is not very excited about the news of her momma being gone all day.

She hides it well with her always happy face.

The husband and I had a nice relaxing weekend which is just what I wanted before going back to work.  I think I am ready.  Here we go.

Weekly Finds

The lamps that I had been wanting for the side board in the dining room found me last week while I was in Target.  I stopped in to pick up a birthday present for the nephew and I was cutting back through the store to check out via the lamp aisle and there they were.

Hello lovelies.

They were on sale for 25 bucks including the shades which I think is a great deal for a cute lamp and I used my Target card and got 5% off.  I like the 5% off at Target.

I picked up the cute tassels at Hobby Lobby for three dollars each.  I love a pretty tassel on a lamp.

I organized my jewelry box over the weekend and and found these two gems that I decided needed to hang on wall above my bedside table.

 I think they compliment what I already had on the wall nicely.
