Updates, Dogs, and Jasmine

Hello friends! It's been a while and I have missed you. What have I been up to? Well, my mom had some heart surgery and she is better and doing great. I have also been contemplating this blog and my other blog and the best way to combine the two. I am still working on those decisions and until I figure it all out, I hope to blog more here.

I have continued with my intuitive eating journey and I am down about 10 pounds, which doesn't sound like much in such a long time, but for me it is huge. My relationship with food is SO much better, I don't stress when presented with the idea of dinner out with friends or what I might munch on when I am bored. It feels a lot like freedom. It is still a journey and I am still very much a work in progress, but I feel very good about my accomplishments.

The husband and I have been taking a digital photography class, been doing a little more home improvements, and a little traveling. I look forward to sharing adventures and pictures with you.

And they love modeling for my photography class assignments.

I have been busy, but I still try and volunteer and do what I can for sweet fur babies looking for loving homes. Speaking of which, meet Jasmine!

Hi, I’m Jasmine! And I would love to be your shadow. I sure love humans and I like to follow mine everywhere! My foster mom says I am always on her heels. She loves it, just ask her. I also love the cuddles…do you have a lap? I’d love to lie in it. 

I am just a baby and I am learning to be a good girl. Right now I am less than a year old and I am only 15 pounds; so I don’t need much space, just lots of love! Speaking of love, my foster mom also thinks it’s funny that I like baths. I don’t know what to tell you besides baths are awesome. Just look at me, I am so gorgeous! 

My foster mom says I am still adjusting to living with my foster siblings, but she thinks I am going to be good with other pups. I have been around other dogs all my life and even though it has been tough, I am a sweetheart!

Sissy

Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope your week is treating you well so far, mine is a little slow, but I have a feeling it is going to get busy and fly.

You know what Wednesday means here on the blog...time to meet another adoptable love from Red Collar Rescue. Here is Sissy...

Hello world! I'm Sissy and I am ready to be the puppy love of your life!

I'm a gorgeous young girl and I just graduated puppy school, which means I know all my commands and I am a super good girl! I'm also potty and crate trained. Bonus!

I love to be with my humans, so anything you want to do I am ready to do! Walking? Jogging? Playing with toys? Rides in the car?  No problem! 

I am an active gal and I love to explore. My foster mom says I'd make a great running partner and I love to cuddle! She also says I am super attentive.

How can I not be? Look at my ears!? I can hear everything.

I'd love to meet you and talk about sharing your house with you. I'd love for your house to be my forever house. The return of love you get will be well worth it I assure you, so contact Red Collar to arrange a play date with me.

I'll wait here patiently like the good girl I am.

Wassail

It is Wednesday! Time to meet an adoptable dog from Red Collar Rescue. I have to tell you...I love this guy. You'll see...

Meet Wassail!!

Oh...is it my turn now?

It is?  Okay...

HEEELLLOOO there!!  I am Wassail and I am a very busy boy!  I am always working on a project.  There is a whole lot of world out there to explore, so we don't have time to waste!!

I am living in a kennel right now and I am learning a lot from my trainer there.  When they need a good sit in that place...they come to me.  I can show you the best sit ever!  I am working hard learning all my manners so I'd be a great addition to your house if you decide you want to share it with me.

You wouldn't be sorry if you did.  I love to play!!!  And even when you don't feel like playing with me, I can entertain you because I can play all on my own!!!  I get very excited with stuffed toys and I will toss them around and fetch them.  I also toss them up, up, up...

And then I catch them.  Gosh, I just love to play.  It is probably the thing that keeps me busiest.  I love those stuffed toys.  One of the volunteers says that I love them to pieces!!  I am not sure what that means, but sometimes the stuffing comes right out of mine.  I swear I don't know how that happens.  It's weird. 

I am about two years old and around 45 pounds.  I am a slim athletic guy and I would love to run or walk with you.  I promise to be a fabulously loyal life long friend!!

The one thing I'd like most is to have a human to call my own.  You want to meet me, don't you???

Dolce

It is Wednesday!  Meet Dolce...

Hey! I’m Dolce. I sure wish you were here right now because I’d give you a big old kiss! That’s one of my very favorite things to do.

I think that’s why they call me Dolce...that’s means sweet ya know. I got rescued from the Harris County Shelter by some wonderful people who think I deserve a forever home.

They asked me to introduce myself to you in case you might be looking for a love bug. So here goes! 

I’m a gorgeous (you know that, you’ve seen the pictures) young girl and I am a very good doggie. I know how to sit and shake. Truth be told, I kinda like to hold paws. I know you have hands and I have paws, so we can call it holding hands if you want. 

I don’t mean to brag, but I am also crate and potty trained. And I love to play. Playing is pawsome. If that’s not enough, I would be a good exercise partner, even if you do yoga.

I could be a great yoga dog because I love to do the stretching. I will lie down sometimes with my legs stretched out straight behind me.

And don’t even get me started on how awesome my downward facing dog is. I totally rock that pose.

I’d like nothing more than a great forever home, so if you are looking for a sweet pup, look no further! My name does say it all!

**PUPDATE!!  Ryder has been adopted!!!**

Oh, boy...it's Wednesday.  We are halfway through the week!  Here is Ryder from Red Collar Rescue to bring you some weekly cute!

Hi! I’m Ryder and I’m a happy handsome fella and I have never met a stranger. I love everyone and I think new people are exciting. 

 
I love to run and play and I’d be a great jogging partner once my heart is back in tip top shape. I have the heartworms, but Red Collar Rescue is getting me all fixed up so I can be super healthy for my new family. I’m a good sized guy, about 45 pounds and I’m a calm 5 year old. I still have the bounce of a 2 year old. You wanna race?

I already have pretty great manners, so I’ll be really good at home. I can’t wait to find my forever home. I hear it is a really cool thing to have. I mean a human to call my own who will always love me? It sounds great to me.

It is that time of the week again, time for another guest blogger from Red Collar Rescue.  Thank goodness for all the help I am getting from all these wonderful adoptable dogs or I wouldn't get anything posted these days.  Life gets busy sometimes, doesn't it!?  Phew...

Hey! I’m Kason!! I’m a young, almost 50 pound lab mix, and I am looking for a human to call my own.

Since I’m such an active guy I’m looking for an active human that needs a running or walking partner. I am also open to fetching toys for you if you’re interested in throwing them.

 
I’m learning good manners and behavior skills, so I will be the perfect companion. My hobbies include frolicking, tail wagging, and giving kisses. I love long walks in the neighborhood and trips to the dog park.

Hi!  The nice humans at the shelter call me Lucky because they are hoping it will help me find some luck.  I need to get rescued soon.  

I am as sweet as I am adorable.  I am an active guy, so I would be perfect for an active family.  I walk really good on my leash and I promise I will repay you in love if you become my hero.

I'm an Alaskan Malamute mix and I am almost 2 years old.  I sure would love to find a home of my own.  Please help me!!
